Desi Peneva, MS's Bio
Desi Peneva is the research program lead at the USC Schaeffer Center where she manages all phases of research project execution from study design and implementation to results delivery and dissemination as a member of the Value of Life Sciences Innovation team. She has held various research, academic, and professional consulting positions, most recently as an associate director and research scientist leading a team of researchers executing health policy and pharmaceutical economics studies at a consultancy to the life sciences industry. Desi has expertise in evidence synthesis, evidence generation, advisory panel engagement, and scientific communication in various therapeutic areas including Alzheimer's disease, oncology, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, and maternal and infant disorders. Her research has examined the social value of new and existing health technologies and the impact of health policy on health and economic outcomes. She received her master's degree in economics from Illinois State University and her bachelor's degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
