Erin Trish, PhD's Bio
Erin Trish, PhD, is associate director of health policy at the USC Schaeffer Center and assistant research professor at the USC Price School of Public Policy.
She has worked on several other research projects related to the Affordable Care Act, including simulations of population who could obtain coverage through the exchanges as well as risk adjustments included in the law. During her postdoctoral fellowship at the USC Schaeffer Center and the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health she researched trends in employer-sponsored insurance, particularly among smaller employers, including evaluating the impact of insurance-rating regulations on firms’ decisions to offer and/or self-insure health benefits.
Trish earned a BS in biomedical engineering and a PhD in health policy and economics from Johns Hopkins. She worked as a research assistant in a stem cell research lab at Harvard University prior to starting graduate school. She was one of only seven recipients awarded the 2014 USC Provost’s Postdoctoral Scholar Research Grant.
