More than 4 in 10 adults have obesity, a disease that damages nearly every system in the human body. While new innovative treatments are available, Medicare and private insurers cover very few, leaving many patients without the care they want and need.
Given the serious health and financial ramifications of obesity, policymakers should consider the value of increased investment in obesity treatment efforts.
Join the Bipartisan Policy Center and the USC Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics on April 18 for a discussion on obesity’s impact and potential policy solutions to prevent and treat this disease.
