Daniel Tomaszewski, PharmD, PhD's Bio
Daniel (Dan) Tomaszewski, PharmD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and Health Economics at the USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences' Healthcare Decision Analysis (HCDA) program. He brings with him academic, practice, and commercial experience in the area of managed care and healthcare decision making.
Dr. Tomsazewsi’s expertise includes working directly with payers and healthcare decision makers to optimize medication use and ensure cost-effective implementation of pharmacy and health benefits. Dr. Tomaszewski has also conducted outcomes-based research focused in the areas of medication adherence, opioid use (specifically in pediatric patients), and health services. In addition, Dr. Tomaszewski has vast academic experience, teaching within Doctor of Pharmacy and Graduate programs with a focus on managed care and global perspectives on medication use within the U.S. healthcare system.
He earned his PharmD and PhD from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Tomaszewski’s research interests include outcomes research in the area of pediatric pain management, impact of drug pricing on commercial payers, and the role of pharmacoeconomic analysis on managed care decision making.
