Steve Kim, MD's Bio

Steve Kim, MD, MSCE, MBA, is co-founder of Voluware Inc., which empowers healthcare providers with cloud-based solutions to simplify and streamline administrative workflows associated with prior authorizations, eligibility and referrals management.

He was previously an assistant professor of urology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, specializing in treating children with congenital urologic anomalies. His research interests include improving the outcomes, quality, safety and delivery of healthcare to children who suffer from urologic conditions.

Kim graduated cum laude from Yale University with a BS in biology, earned an MD at Weill Cornell Medicine and completed residency training in urology at the Keck School of Medicine. He completed three years of fellowship training in pediatric urology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. During fellowship training, he was awarded a National Institutes of Health T32 training grant and completed a master’s program in clinical epidemiology at the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He earned an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business in 2016.
