Serena Rhee, PhD's Bio
Serena Rhee, PhD, is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She was previously an NIH/NIA Research Fellow in the Study of Aging.
Rhee is interested in the role of health status in individuals’ labor-market outcomes over the life cycle and designing optimal public policies to promote the welfare-improving allocation of resources in the context of the macro economy.
She earned a BA in economics, summa cum laude, from Seoul National University, and a PhD in economics at the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on labor economics, public economics and macroeconomics.
