Karen Byrnes is a Project Manager at the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics at the University of Southern California. Her interests center on public-private partnerships and the interface between research, policy, and practice.
Experienced in program design and management in both the public and private sectors, she has held positions with TOMS, UCLA’s Center for HIV Identification, Prevention and Treatment Services, UNICEF Swaziland, and the County of San Diego.
She received her Ph.D. in Public Health and M.P.P. from the University of California, Los Angeles and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger.
