    Hanke Heun-Johnson is a Project Specialist at the Leonard Dr. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics at the University of Southern California. Her research for the Keck-Schaeffer Initiative for Population Health Policy focuses on mental health care access and early interventions. Prior to joining the Schaeffer Center, she studied the interaction effects of early-life stress and genetic variations on brain circuit development and behavior in the lab of Dr. Pat Levitt at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She received her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California, and MSc in Molecular Biology from Maastricht University, The Netherlands.
